Kievan was in the state of rivalry with [[Darfe Goldoor]], and it is suggested that it was Kievan who had repeatedly informed [[Nilma Oordar]] about Goldoor's whereabouts and which allowed Qep to eventually defeat Goldoor in the 1549-1550 campaign.

Some religious leaders suggest that the conflict was between the toors and perhaps between Darkan and Goldoor, but available data and accounts of those in Kievan's entourage reveal that it was a personal feud.
