Mayeerqnoel first appears in the historical record as a murder suspect in one of the suburbs of the city of Oordar. An inn owner was killed under suspicious circumstances and Mayeerqnoel stayed in a room on the floor where the murder had occurred. He was not from Tref and did not speak [[Nalarli]], but had an excellent command of [[Thonthal]], which was not as widely spoken in Oordar. This led to him being labeled the key suspect and he was put under arrest in jail during the proceedings.

Records indicate that Mayeerqnoel did not travel alone and that [[Yonisha]], his personal aide, and two other men, had arrived to Oordar at the same time. They were specifically instructed my Mayeerqnoel to enter the city separately and stay in different places. Yonisha spoke [[Kefan_language|Kefan]], a language closely related to Nalarli, and was able to testify at the last minute, saving Mayeerqnoel from being hanged.
