Singer of lore is a traditional performer of Xaewoon canon, which consists of strons - songs that detail the early history of Tarnaria, narrate myths and fables. Singers of lore have played an important role in passing down knowledge, but also acted as editors of lores, choosing which strons to include and which to drop, sometimes adding their own strons, changing the texts and so on. A famous performer's repertoire could greatly affect how the lore is passed down to the next generation, with a number of notable singers shaping some of the lores for decades and sometimes centuries to come.

Singers of lore thus carry a certain religious significance. And while their religious standing is not as high as one of Ienana, they are frequently viewed as enlightened individuals, those that have a gift of special insight.

Becoming a singer of lore comes with a change in lifestyle: Xaewoon more or less dictates that the singer of lore is on a path to bring the word to the people. Therefore, most singers of lore are traveling musicians and can only settle when they retire.

Notable performers
* Osdol and Motys - two of the main representatives of the Great Lore. They worked separately, but their combined repertoire was copied by other singers and became the Great Lore.
* Olboloh Joleeloh and Gorōntoh Kōtele - famous performers of the Great Lore. They became prominent seers in the court of Meerō Dolysoh.
