Lotyfa's abilities slowed her own aging to a crawl, which makes it impossible to know exactly when she was born or where she was from. She did not know how to speak, and some speculate that this might mean that she was born somewhere in Lora and was immediately imprisoned and abused by Dyfy, which would explain why she was never taught to speak.
