Bolfor was an astute observer of the events and people around him and his diary provides an in-depth description of the events, as well as Bolfor's running commentary on the rebels and their leaders. It is possible that keeping a diary was a life-long habit, but no other diaries of Bolfor had survived. Bolfor diaries began appearing throughout [[Darda|Dardian]] book markets in 19th [[CSR]], but were all deemed to be fakes.
