The Chronicler

The Chronicler is the primary author of the Continent Chronicles. According to him, each night when he falls asleep, he wakes up on the Continent and lives a full day as another person. He is able to recite the history of the Continent in such great detail because his counterpart is an influential and highly educated historian named Namla Gevern.

The jumps between the worlds are enabled by an artifact known as the Dream Seed: Namla spent many years tracking one down. The Chronicler explains that the connection is one-directional and as Namla he is not aware of Earth or his own life, but that Namla sees yet another world in his own dreams, a world that the Chronicler is not able to recall when he wakes up here.

The Chronicler does not directly interface with the encyclopedia. Although all pages are marked as authored by "The chronicler", the content is edited and submitted by the Storyteller. Images are primarily created by the Illustrator.
