A number of families were able to escape Gor and ventured west, settling at the foot of the Lōsdoh mountain and forming what later became known as the [[Dominanta]] ([[bukk|Bukkean]]: Poltoh Ol, meaning "the dominant chord" or "the dominant verse").

They became known for building artificial islands in the middle of the Poltoh Ol lakes, to make it harder for armies to reach them. The location of these islands was kept secret for almost a century.

 

Dominanta then began a guerilla war against Toor, trying to re-establish Gor and raiding various locations across the kingdom.
