The return of the Oordars also became a common narrative in a number of regions that were vassal to the Oordars. Several warlords claimed to be of Oordar lineage and there was provable Oordar lineage in Maird.
The concern was especially elevated in Tonaran due to the proximity of Maird and Tonaran being the former seat of the Oordar clan. To reduce the risk of confrontation, Tos Darman pushed for formal diplomatic relations with Maird and arranged a marriage between his daughter Palesta and the Mel-Mel-Gole of Maird, Brynt Bloorynoh. The marriage did not happen due to the fall of Tonaran mere months after the arrangement.
