'''Barmijanj''' (also Birmijanj, Barmi-yent, Barambijanj) was one of the first [[Dawn]] settlements that developed into a large metropolis in [[Gantolia]]. Known as the "Ancient Well" (full phrase is "Balat Flamont Bali Gydai" - "Ancient Well of the earth"), Barmijanj became one of key political and cultural centers in the 18th [[CFR]].

In the middle of the 19th CFR when the movement to upend the representative governments across Gantolia failed, leading to a number of uprisings, politicians largely moved out of Barmijanj. This led to an almost immediate loss of influence, with a large number of the population emigrating from the city in the next couple of decades.

However, Barmijanj's influence increased after [[The Last Stand]], when large number of people passed through the city, making it widely known across Gantolia, [[Yammoe]] and [[Tarnaria]].
