Gungon was known for its pioneering high-rise architecture, which had most of its buildings stand on top of fortified stone pillars, connected with bridges.

Gungon was a part of what was known as the Diamond, a group of four major dantrian cities: [[Tavoe]], [[Kalchinge]], [[Walneer]] and [[Gungon]].

It was defeated by the [[superhero warrior]] [[Lydian]] in August 116 TR.
