'''Kefan''' /'kɛfən/ are one the peoples of [[Leykaron]]. Their first trace in history began with the establishment of the [[Afanyu|Afanyu civilization]]. After it was conquered by [[Loodon Empire|Loodon]], the Kefan became an important region of the Loodon Empire, retaining their culture, language and economic independence.

The Kefan people are thought to have migrated directly from Duls Settelements to a valley between Makam and Loodon about two centuries prior, and are probably the first wave of the [[New Dawn]].

There was significant mixing with local populations, however, due to [[Kefan language]] becoming the language of the Kefan people, which clearly evolved from Nalarli. Nalarli was specific to the [[Homestead]] region and some lands to its south. It is not clear what language was the initial language of the Kefan, but it is possible it was [[Thonthal]]. There are, however, no clear signs of Thonthal in Kefan that cannot be explained by adoption from Thonthal due to the significant amount of trade between [[Darda]] and [[Afanyu]].
