'''Maadoh family''' /'maɪdə/ was an influential family that began their rise in the army led by [[Sopoh Dolysoh|Sopoh]] and later [[Opol Dolysoh]]. They then attempted to overthrow Opol, but failed and fled [[Gaskal]], instead joining the [[Oskodon|Negy King]]. Later they befriended the [[Deeras clan]] and became one of the ruling families in the city state of [[Deeras]].

=== Byd and Dōrsoh Maadoh ===

Byd was in love with [[Byskoh Losoh]], who got married to Opol Dolysoh. Angered by losing her, he instigated his son, a young Jeen Dōrsoh, to overthrow Opol by sneaking into his tent and murdering him with a sword. Byskoh, however, found out about this and warned Opol.

Opol then set up a trap, waiting for Dōrsoh to enter the tent, and then having his guards subdue the young man. Opol promised Byskoh to spare Dōrsoh's life, but when he told Dōrsoh that he will live, Dōrsoh spit in Opol's face. This made OPol mad and he and his guards ended up beating Dōrsoh to death.

Opol sent Dōrsoh's head to Byd, vowing to kill every Maadoh and erase any trace of their family from the face of the earth. Maadohs and their supporters had to flee Gaskal.

Maja /'mʌʒə/ was a warrior and daughter of Byd Maadoh. She is known for avenging the death of her brother Dōrsoh Maadoh at the hands of Opol Dolysoh. She shot and killed Gōnoh Dolysoh, Opol's eldest son, with an arrow when he turned 12. Maja was able to get away unseen, but the arrow's fletching was dyed in the colors of the Maadoh family crest.
