The '''Great Turtle war''' was a war between the [[New Dawn]] settlers and [[the Great Turtle]], although it can also be argued that this later became a proxy war between [[Darda]] and [[Yammoe]].
The conflict began in the 20s of the 16th century [[SR]] and lasted for over a century, ending in the 1640s with the defeat of the Great Turtle. Whole generations lived their lives on the battlefield and being a veteran of the Great Turtle war or being related to one carried a lot of weight for decades after it. The kingdom of [[Afanyu]] was established in order to unite dardian forces after the conclusion of the conflict and provide a fair distribution of conquered land. It eventually devolved into a very turbulent state, shaken by a non-ending fight for power. Afanyu was conquered by the [[Loodon empire]] in the 20th century [[SR]].
