The death of [[Uroh Reemoh Dedlos|Reemoh Dedlos]] from a rival clan led to a brief private war, which saw the Lōblyns prevail. Already wealthy, the Lōblyns became the wealthiest family in Toor at the time, and Meerō Lōblyn replaced Reemoh as the principle in the Chamber of War.

Its disastrous performance, however, led to an immediate backlash against the royal house and the Lōblyns. The Lōblyns then decided to defend their power by distancing themselves from Meerō Dolysoh and instigating preparations for a coup.
