Virtually nothing is known about Katsag's life prior to becoming second [[Murdoh]] to Maird after his father married [[Maye Seaoor]] in order to secure peace. Maird never became [[tonaran|Tonaran's]] vassal region and Katsag's power was capped by Seaoor's interests. Based on his correspondence with Maksag, Katsag accepted his role and became part of the family. This allowed his children to assume power: Meenasag became the Queen of Maird and Duhroonsag became Jeen and then Jeenor.
