Gungon /ˌgɒn'gɒn/ was a city in Western Dantria which served as its capital, and later as its cultural and educational center. It housed the Great Dantrian Libriaries and the Western Dantrian University.
Gungon was known for its pioneering high-rise architecture, which had most of its buildings stand on top of fortified stone pillars, connected with bridges.
Gungon was a part of what was known as the Diamond, a group of four major dantrian cities: Tavoe, Kalchinge, Walneer and Gungon.
It was destroyed by the superhero warrior Lydian in August 116 TR.
