Kefan people

Kefan /'kɛfən/ are one the peoples of Leykaron. Their first trace in history began with the establishment of the Afanyu civilization. After it was conquered by Loodon, it became an important region of the Loodon Empire, with the Kefan retaining their culture, language and economic independence.

Origins

The Kefan people are thought to have migrated directly from Duls Settelements to a valley between Makam and Loodon about two centuries prior, and are probably the first wave of the New Dawn.

There was significant mixing with local populations, however, due to Kefan language becoming the language of the Kefan people, which clearly evolved from Nalarli. Nalarli was specific to the Homestead region and some lands to its south. It is not clear what language was the initial language of the Kefan, but it is possible it was Thonthal. There are, however, no clear signs of Thonthal in Kefan that cannot be explained by adoption from Thonthal due to the significant amount of trade between Darda and Afanyu.
