Eternal Companion is the name given to the brightest star in the sky. It is an integral part of the Continent's religions and cosmology. It is considered to be a first name and should be used without the "the" preposition.
Typically signified as a 12-pointed star, Eternal Companion is a frequent occurrence on flags, designs and pictures. Its religious significance varies between religions, but is invariably considered to be the planet's Defender, as defined in the Eon of Eater.
