Koalderood /kwɑldɛ'ruː/ is a region in Commonground. It was first inhabited by the Hadeer people. Later it became a mining site, which was known for its tin and belequel deposits.

It was also the birthplace of Gened and the center of the serf uprising of 72 SR, which eventually led to the Chaos wars. Its inhabitants in the second revolution were known as the Genanta people.

Koalderood has maintained its unique culture, an intermix of its Hadeer, Toor and Genant heritage. There are no large cities in the region, with the Mekek neighborhood in the city of Jegin historically considered to be an urban extension of Koalderood.
