Hadeer were a people who populated Koalderood and neighboring areas in the 18th-19th centuries of the first revolution. They were settlers of the Dawn and developed a unique culture, ultimately influencing what would later become the Great Lore. The great singer of lore Osdol was a Hadeer.

The Hadeer lived in tribes, but began to form larger groups in the second half of the 18th CFR. Several families competed to be the ruling clan, with the Jumpelee-Joleeloh rivalry being the most notable one. The Hadeer were eventually united under the flag of the Jumpelee clan and entered their golden age, expanding quickly and building a number of cities, the largest being Brum and Gor, and a large fortress at Lake Marood known as Luj.

According to Porteek, the Hadeer were likely to become the dominant power of the region, making Toor's later conquest of the Laeooy Coast unlikely. He speaks of their pride, ambition and an expansionist strategy. At some point the Hadeer even conquered Nadd, but were later thrown back by forces from Tyrna. Meerō Dolysoh's campaign of 1834-1835 inadvertently discovered the extent of the Hadeer expansion, and Meerō was able to defeat their developing empire in a single move.

The Hadeer people remained part of the Laeooy Coast, but many were resettled by Meerō and the mentions of the Hadeer largely disappear from both Ludoh's and Porteek's accounts. Remnants of their culture, however, have survived through the ages, and some Hadeer rituals, symbols and religious chants are still known at Koalderood.
