Ghilligin Dhorn was a procurator who lived during the 6th CTR, famous for representing Disconnected Provinces at the first and only Peace Congress. He is equally famous for being stabbed in the stomach and killed by Karnt, one of the twin kings of Astauand.

Biography

Ghilligin Dhorn was born to a family of rich merchants. His father was eventually selected governor of the wealthy Green Camcut region. Ghilligin Dhorn spent most of his youth in the capital of the neighboring land, where he studied politics, arts and science. He became involved with the local workers movement and was known to claim that he came from a poor family, which allegedly none of his allies doubted at the time.

Having amassed a following, he was elected leader of the movement and organized it into a strong political player in the land. At about the same time members of the movement began calling it Very Dark Rose based on the tradition of placing wilted flowers in front of houses which required support.

Ghilligin Dhorn was about to form an official party, when rumors about the Peace Congress have reached the land and became big news. Ghilligin Dhorn saw it as an opportunity to strengthen the Very Dark Rose movement, as well as to satisfy his ambitions for fame, and through his network of connections was able to rally support for a plan to represent a large part of the decentralized lands under the banner of Disconnected Provinces at the Peace Congress. He was reported as being himself surprised at the extent and efficiency of the Very Dark Rose network.

Under the impression that the Peace Congress would be a respected and safe gathering, Ghilligin Dhorn had not taken many people with him and arrived at the Neutral Palace with merely 5 aides. He was killed during the second and final day of the Peace Congress by Karnt, one of the twin kings of Astauand, allegedly while trying to perform interpretive dance as a form of protest.

Personality

Ghilligin Dhorn was known to be extremely sentimental, took everything seriously and had a poor sense of humor. He was in the habit of speaking very theatrically even in everyday settings and owned a flute which he vehemently planned to master, but never actually did.

Name

Contrary to researchers from outside the Continent, Dhorn was not his last name. Instead, Ghilligin Dhorn together was his first name. His last name was Kantn, which he seldom used, probably to distance himself from his father Runal Kantn, the governor of Green Camcut.

Memory

After his death, Very Dark Rose mourned his passing and erected monuments of his likeness in multiple cities across the region. However, the whole situation made Ghilligin Dhorn incredibly famous everywhere, including in Green Camcut, and his true origins soon became known. This sparked controversy within the Very Dark Rose, when they realized that their leader lied about growing up in a poor family. After a period of tumultuous deliberations, his monuments had been summarily demounted and destroyed, and records of his famous speeches that were a huge part of the official Very Dark Rose canon had been burned.

Around 200 years later there was a resurgence of interest in the history of the first years of Very Dark Rose and Ghilligin Dhorn was at least partially reinstated as an important historical figure. By that time, however, no visual representations of his likeness survived, nor had anyone retained copies of his speeches. Therefore, he remains just a name, with very little artifacts but the Very Dark Rose movement itself denoting his legacy.

First victim of The War

Some historians consider Ghilligin Dhorn to be the first victim of War.
